What do you love about Japan? Do tell us!

I like the history and the fact it's so well documented. I like philosophy particularly the neo-Confucianism slant of their ideas. I like their swords and martial ways and associated philosophy. Their aesthetic is very tasteful and I like their pithy haiku. I've recently begun appreciating their ancient literature too. I'm afraid much of their modern culture leaves me cold and a little bemused.
