I'm a South African who grew up in Brazil. Since Brazil and Japan have such a strong trade relationship I initially fell in love with Japan from watching Ultraman, Speed Racer and from the Japanese robot toys I had. After spending some time travelling and living in the US and the UK. I stumbled across some early anime (Akira, Ghost in the Shell, Urutsokidoji) and fell in love with Japan all over again, this led to some of the more accessible stuff: Gundam, Migic Knights Rayearth, and then I really loved the soundtracks which led to J-Pop and Kenji Kawai. This then led to J-Rock and VK. I am fascinated by Japanese popular culture and love Japanese design.
Although I have never been there myself, always just been a secret admirer. From afar
