I just randomly stumbled upon this board and it seemed like a cool place to chat with folks. I'm a big fan of Japanese culture and very interested in learning more about it. I watch a lot of anime and Japanese films and am also a gamer and my favorite cuisine is Japanese. I took several years of Japanese throughout my schooling but I suck at learning languages so I'm no where near as close to as fluent as I would like to be. I intend on learning more of the language and becoming a master of writing in Japanese if I ever find the motivation. I'm good with hirigana and katakana, but my kanji is pretty limited. I'll probably be hanging out in the "learn Japanese" forum a lot. I also hope to visit the country at some point; I was about five months away from being born in Okinawa , so I was almost a Ryukyu-jin (sorry if I just butchered Japanese grammar).
