Hey guys, I can't find anything on this, and I know how good you guys are with the Internet and how smart you are. What are the laws for Gambling in Alabama? I don't think it is legal anywhere in Alabama, but can you on the Internet???? Thanks guys.

thinking of taking up gambling bamafan? you're still young, save your money... besides, how can gambling be illegal? americans have some crazy laws, like the one in california how it's illegal to shoot a whale from land while in a moving vehicle.

taking up gambling? not really, I love to play poker though. One of my friends said it was illegal in Alabama on the internet as well as normal. So I was just wondering.

Isn't there something really strange about casinos having to be in a state that borders water or either built on an American Indian reservation? I'm trying to find information online about it, but not having much luck...

well it clearly says gambling is illegal in alabama. "A person engages in gambling if he stakes or risks something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance..."

so gambling on the net if you live in alabama is still gambling in albama (unless your isp is not based in alabama... then you might be able to get away with it...).

Gambling at 15 is generally frowned upon in most jurisdictions, even those where gambling is otherwise legal.

You can not run numbers or a casino within state lines. You are however allowed to gamble amongst friends or within the confines of a private club. If I am not mistaken, the laws vary from county to county. I know that where I grew up it was only allowed within private clubs.
