I'l looking to see if someone can help me out with a translation. I bought a ring today that has writing on the inside of the band. The characters are asian and I believe they are probably Japanese which is only based on the fact that the place I bought it had a number of other Japanese antiques for sale. I've done my best to recreate the symbols, but I may be way off, any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I agree with Damicci; it's hard to tell whether it could be Japanese or not from the "copy" you've posted...

seems like Sumerian...

Hope these work better. Thanks again for trying to help out.

... as far as I see, it is not Japanese.
Could be either it is different language, or katakana (one of Japanese script) by someone who has no knowledge about Japanese and thought it might look like Japanese....???

Thanks for looking at it. The only reason I thought it may be Japanese as opposed to other languages was that there were multiple other items for sale with it from Japan, so I just took my best guess. If not Japanese any other ideas of language? (or maybe it's just random marking to look foreign).
