Help with translating this sentence

Hey, all! I'm having trouble translating this sentence and my brain's fried from looking these words up so many times.

kanji mo sukoshi tsukaeru you ni nattan desu ne

I might not have separated the words correctly since they were originally written all in kana. That could, of course, be affecting my translating abilities. After searching around a bit I think it's something along the lines of "you can use a few kanji, can't you?" But the "mo" is completely throwing me off. Usually I immediately related it to "also" or "too", but because of the context of this sentence I know it has nothing to do with it.

Someone told me the sentence meant "You can use some kanji already, can't you?" But then wouldn't that make it "mou"? It's possible that it was a typo, but I'm looking for any other possible meanings.

Umm depending on whether you mean mo or mou. the meaning changes. if you mean mo, then it will translate as " You can also use a little Kanji now huh." This would assume the person is talking about other things too like maybe speaking ability, or grammar use ability.

Otherwise it would be "you can already use a little kanji huh." just like your friend said.

Most likely your friend wants to say
"you became able to use kanji too (besides hiragana/katakana)".

This "became able to" part might sound odd as English because it is literal translation from Japanese.
Thus "You can also use a little Kanji now" as Chidoriashi mentioned.

Alright, that makes perfect sense. The comparison to Hiragana and Katakana would make sense as well.
