Help with translating old globe

Hi,
I'm hoping someone can help me translate a globe that has been in my family for as long as I can remember. I believe it is from the Tokyo museum but am not sure. I would also like to be able to date it but am unable to read the country names.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How long can you remember?
Close ups on Europe and Asian could help. For example does it still show Yugoslavia? Does it use Bombay or Mumbai? Burma or Myanmar? Is the Soviet Union broken up or not? etc.

Looks to be an early Showa (1930s?) globe. I don't know what kind of help you need reading the words on this... I mean, the words are all names of countries that still exist (Japan, England, France, America, Italy, Protugal, Spain, Holland, Belgium, etc.). African continent contains names of countries in Africa, with some variation. If you show Asia, it might help (or Europe, as mdchachi says).

The metal band on the side points to, as you might guess, "Cold Zone", "Temperate Zone", and "Hot Zone".
The company who made it is "Chibunkan". I don't think they are in business anymore.

Thank you. I was hoping that somewhere it might have the manufacturers name, or a date, or something other then of course geographical information.
A friend of mine said the "label" read something about a Tokyo museum, is that not the case?

I thought the close-up of Africa was interesting as I don't recall every seeing it with so few countries delineated. And from what I've been able to tell from the key, most of the countries were still in European control.

Also it would be nice to know (since the color is a little off) which countries are named in the legend.

The countries in the legend are the countries I listed (top to bottom, same order as I wrote them, ending with Belgium). The label says the company name, "Chibunkan", and it lists Tokyo and Kobe (presumably because they had offices in those locations).

There are country names like Anglo-Egyptian Sudan, French Algeria, French Cameroon, French West Africa, French Dahomey, Belgian Congo, Ashanti Protectorate, etc.. Also, the following page says that Chibunkan was a company in the early Showa.

I found the same globe in an auction site. The exhibitor says that there is Manchukuo on the globe, so it must be made in 1930's, as Majestic-san wrote.

Revolving Globe would be more natural translation.

By the way the reason your friend thought it was from a Tokyo museum is because 館 is often part of the name of museums and this was proceeded by "Tokyo." So it was a reasonable guess.
