とは is not for definition there. 敵の心配をする expresses the contents of 面白い.

Notice that it's not 早々着いて. The -te form is used to list events in temporal order, i.e., it's 着いた and then 早々 (asking for something).

There is no difference in meaning between 着いて早々 and 着いた早々.
