Hi! I'm trying to figure out how to say "...so I could stay longer inside the room." in Nihongo. Could I use an adverb (perhaps ゆっくり?) and attach it to "しつない に とまる (or another verb?) よう に…"? Or is there a different term for "stay longer"?

Also, could someone kindly point out if I misused よう に?

Thank you.

Use 残るfor your verb. Use 残れる if your phrasing includes "so I could" or "be able to" or such expression of potentiality.

Ohh, okay! I get it now. Thank you so much for taking the time to answer.
