At the moment I'm reading my first book in Japanese, well rather a short story maybe since it is only 29 pages, and even though I'm surprised by how well it is proceeding I'm having trouble with a couple of phrases. The story is called 郵便机.
My first question is about a person described as 心までひくい, from context I can guess but I would like a comment on the nuance from someone who knows this since it is about one of the main characters. I had similar problems with all the 気が...、気に... expressions until I got a list from my teacher with a lot of them.
It is difficult with expressions that aren't in my 電子辞書 nor in Edict.
I have read 12 pages so far and I'm sure I will have more questions as I proceed. Thanks in advance!
