Help with listening comprehension practice

I'm listening to a tape with listening comprehension practices but I'm unable to make out a word in a sentence. I think the person says

学部の三年で専攻はひらしアジア研究です。

But since I can't find any entry for ひらしアジア in a dictionary I guess I'm not hearing correct.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This specific sentence is at about 20 seconds in to the file.

Probably, 東(ひがし)アジア is what that person says.
