Help please

I need to translate 2 things from english to japanese, i have been working on that for over a month now, and now i have to try it here:s

1 - Gone but not forgotten
2 - Pain is love

1.) What's the context? This phrase isn't complete or clear in meaning.
2.) (I disagree with this phrase, but anyway...) I would translate this using classical Japanese to sound more powerful. 痛みは力なり. In Romaji: Itami wa chikara nari. In classical Japanese, "nari" served a similar purpose to that of "desu" in modern Japanese.
