Hello group, my wife and I just moved back to Sasebo after 17 years in the states. I will be looking for work, a lot has changed while we were gone. My wife has family here as well as our kids and grand kids are in Japan. As you have guessed we are an older couple, I'm 50 the wife in her 60s....met and married while I was stationed here in the Navy.

I was in the Navy out of Yokosuka (USS Reeves) and member Uncle Frank is also a former squid.

Thanks Mike, was in Yokosuka/Atsugi with a squadron onboard the Midway for 4 yr, then down here on the Belleau wood for 5

As Mike said , I was Navy stationed on the southern Island of Kyushu near Fukuoka at Hakata Air Base for two years as a Communications Tech "R" branch. We had a big spy base there where I did direction finding "HFDF". All 4 years of my tour were on land as a NAVSECGRU spook. I never expected to join the Navy and never set foot on a ship. Hope you hang around here, a lot of great members willing to help you anyway they can.
