Hello!!

My name is Alicja and I live in Eastern Europe. My English is so-so; please forgive me if I make any mistakes.
In few years I'm planning to move to Japan. Currently I'm studying the language (my teacher says that if I try hard, I'm gonna make it to N2 by December).
What I espacially like about Japanese culture is cooking (traditional sweets, tea), religions (I'm buddhist and vegetarian, I find Shinto very interesting), architecture, politics (which started to be very amusing lately, though I can't say that in a good way), history and generally I like how the society and it's customs work.
When I look over to the East, I think I'd fit in better among it's people. So, that's particulary the reason why I want to leave my country (which is an outstanding place, love my city and stuff, but sometimes just I feel like a tourist... different view on the world, I think?).
In the future I'd like to be a nurse or physical therapist.

If someone would like to talk with me, I'd be very happy [I need my English practice (thats the priority<---, French and Japanese would be lovely, too) <3].

Hi Alicja, and welcome to the forum. Before moving to Japan you should definitely explore the country for a while. Adoring the culture from the distance and actually living here are different kettles of fish. There are lots of threads on the topic here on the forum already.

And your country is very beautiful too. I have fond memories of Polish hospitality.

If by exploring the country you mean reading about living there, watching Japanese documentations and getting in touch with Japanese people and related cultural events, then most of my life here in Poland consists of exploring Japan.
About actually living there, I'm on a typical Polish budget and wouldn't really be able to pay for a trip and studies later. So, I'm just gonna have to jump right into deep water after arriving in Japan for the first time.

I'm very glad that you've had good experiences with Polish culture.

Welcome to the forum Alicja! I'm sure you will find plenty of people to give you advice and help you along your journey!

If you are a strict vegetarian, you will find it very difficult. If you don't mind fish stock, then you'll be fine.
If you are interested in cooking you should sign up to Cookpad, it's probably the biggest recipe site in Japan.

Yes, I am a strict vegetarian. But if I manage to be one in Poland, I don't think I'll meet any problems in Japan, I think.
