hows it going? I'm new here and its nice to meet u all.
i hope you guys can answer a few of my questions. they have been bothering me for a while and I can't rest easy untill I find an answer to them.

well i wanted to hold off on the questions till i read more of the forums. now that i have read a few posts, ive come to realize that engineering in japan sucks. so thats now out of the question.

ive checked all the sites and can pretty much only find english teaching jobs, but im not really looking for a 1 year thing more of a career.
but i need advice on a job that a western would likly get that would
1) pay the bills
2) enough left over to save for retirement, everyday needs, and a little bit of entertainment
3) decent hours

the reason y im asking is because i want to move to japan within the next few years but i can't seem to find a job at all. the harder i look the more i think its pretty much impossible or wasteful for someone in my field of electrical engineering.
any help or suggestions on what fields make it would be great, its not to late for me to switch out and take a new program.

i no im being kind of selfish and closed minded but any help would be nice.
(p.s. i was thinking of zoology but they don't offer that here, they pretty much offer tech career and engineering jobs at the uni that i go to)

I suggest you check out threads in the Japan Practical section. There are several threads started by people who are looking for pretty much what you are looking for with many helpful/informative responses from those who once was in the same position themselves. Good luck!
