Hello everybody [bows politely],
I am supposed to use this space to introduce myself so here it goesﾂ…I was born in Okinawa and moved back to the United States. Later we moved back to Japan (Sagamihara) for four years.
I was adopted so I don't know much about my family history, only that I'm Italian, Scottish and Japanese (about 1/8).
My Japanese vocabulary is very limited: I only know a few words and phrases. Don't even ask about my Kanji!
I love Japanese food and culture. My favorite food would have to be sashimi followed closely by fried squid legs. The thing I admire most about the culture is the respect for tradition, honor and family.
I would like to learn more about my heritage and meet new people from Japan. Eventually I would like to go back, at least for a visit.
I was very excited when I came across this forum. I have found it very informative and educational and I look forward to making some new friends.
