Perhaps I should have thought up a more creative topic title? Oh well. I'm a 18 year old film major at Bowing Green State University (it's tucked away in the northwest corner of Ohio) with a particular interest towards Japanese cinema. My love for directors like Yasujiro Ozu, Yasujiro Shimazu, Hiroshi Shimizu, Sadao Yamanaka, and Mikio Naruse has led me to a profound fascination with Japanese culture. At the moment, I'm trying to get myself acquainted with more Japanese literature. I checked Kawabata's Sound of the Mountain out from the library and so far I love it.
Anyway, I really look forward to posting here. Seems like there's plenty of things to learn, which is always important to me.
