Very recently I noticed that on google maps South Korea comes up blank—place names only, and minimal provincial boundaries. No roads, really no anything. For example, on maps search for Fukuoka and then zoom out so that the map includes ROK. And there are still good road details for DPRK!
Due to ROK censorship and its favoring of local/domestic companies, google has always had a hard time there. And I read not long ago that ROK wanted to "tax" YouTube and some other content providers.
Does anyone know what's going on?
