In a few hours time it will be midnight in the UK and another day will be upon us, and that means one thing to me above all over things.
It will be my daughters birthday.
So may I take this opportunity to wish my daughter HitsugiMad4Eva a very happy 15th Birthday.
A lot has happened over the last few years and in a couple of months it will be 5 years since I stepped off a train and came into your life on a daily basis.
Over those years we have learnt alot about each other, one of the first things that you learnt about me was that when I needed to shout in order to get your attention, I could lol. You will have to blame my ex Regimental Sergeant Major for that,he taught me how to shout when giving commands.
Over the years I have tried to look after you to the best of my ability, I have taken you to the doctors and even to hospital when needed, as your health is not perfect and I am afraid to say that I do think that you are slightly accident prone.
Now what have I got for your birthday present. For your last birthday I gave you a signed photograph of the present Doctor Who, David Tennant. The look on your face was a real picture,and I will not forget it nor how you asked me how I got it. I did explain to you what can happen if you just write a letter to someone. So what is this years present I here you ask. It is another letter that I am going to write to someone very famous that could have a major effect on the next few years of your life and could benefit you when you are older.
When I look at your education, I see that you are doing well and that you are also doing very well in one particular subject, Drama.
I have to say that I am very proud of you and how you are doing at school and there is one thing that I really want you to know. I believe in you. I do believe that you have got talent and that you could one day be a good actress.You do make me and mother very proud of you, even at the worst times.
The letter I am planning to write on your behalf is to the President of R.A.D.A, who just happens to be Lord Richard Attenborough, who will remember my grandmothers name as she starred with him in 'Brighton Rock'.
Hopefully he will tell me what is needed if I want to get you into RADA, that is providing you do well at school and you get into college.
Also at a later date, I will ask my mother for one little favour as regards to you, that if you should get into RADA and become an actress, that you can be allowed to use the family surname of 'Tennant' as your acting name.
So young lady, Happy 15th Birthday, and I hope you get loads of presents and maybe a bit of money. Enjoy your day and make the most of it.
