Made of stone, are you sure you're not Polish???
I don't think so
*made of stone checks his birth certificate* Nope, most definitely British lol.
Actually I feel rather embarrassed that anyone might have thought I translated that...I should have said that an the English was published next to the Polish in the newspaper
I shall definitely visit that shop and ask for everything to cook 'bigos'
No I hadn't heard of that protest, but it sounds interesting. I'm all in favour of fighting 'progress' that robs of us of our natural heritage. Unfortunately, we see it all the time over here...
I searched BBC news but couldn't find anything on it, though there was a story about Polish beer becoming a big hit in the UK

Ah wait, another search did find a story from a week ago. It suggests the local people will vote on the issue? Anyway it looks like an incredible area from the photo on the BBC and a Google image search:

Made of stone, I've just realized I didn't handle the "quote" thingy too well... Sorry!!!
No problemo, Anchan! If I want to quote a whole post or a large part of one then I usually reply clicking on the little 'quote' bar at the bottom-right of each post. Then I just delete the bit I don't want to quote. If I want to quote many bits of the same or different posts, then I use the 'post reply' function at the bottom left of each thread. Then I copy and paste the sentences I want to reply to, highlight the text, and click on the 'quote' function up top (it looks like a little speech bubble!)
Now if anyone could tell me how to 1) imbed a link within a word or sentence, or 2) how to preview and then go back to a post without losing the hard returns, or even 3) how to reply to a specific post rather than the thread in general, i'd be a very grateful stone indeed!
