Haibane Renmai- any good?

Haibane Renmai

I've seen numerous previes and trailers for this anime and i am interested in it, but i would like to hear others opinions here on the anime, is it actually any good or is it just another pretty but shallow anime?

I remember it as rather boring, from the little I remember at all, because in fact... I found it quite boring.

I know, some people really like it and the scores and reviews at places like anidb.info and animenfo.com aren't bad, but--personally--I'd advise you to stay away.

it's not boring, it's weird xD but I found haibane renmai very intresting and it love the art desing xD

It depends, could you perhaps name a couple of series you like?
I mean, HR is the kinda anime that isn't meant for everyone. It carries a deep meaning, cool, but at the same time, I think it lacks "action". I know it isn't shoujo, but somehow that genre came to mind.

Although, before you take anything completely seriously I have to say that I didn't watch it until the end, dropped it around midway.

If you ask whether it is shallow... I must say it isn't, everything positive you heard about it is probably true, give it a shot, most people like it.

If you are after action more likely you`ll find it nearly boring. If you are into some philosophy - you can give it a try. The plot unfolds slowly and ends (if this word can be applied in this case) with little explanation.

Well I really don't know, for both philosophy and action I look elswhere.
Pale Cocoon perhaps? Its short, but philosophic.
Or perhaps RahXephon, or Evangelion if you haven't watched them yet.
Although RahXephon is pretty much an Eva ripoff, but a good one at that.

Hm i have a very varied taste in anime- i like everything from the studio gibli/Miyazaki films, to fullmetal alchemist, tactics, naruto, excel saga, azumnaga daioh, fruits basket, peach girl, samurai champloo, rumbling hearts, rune solidier etc etc etc...
I'm quite interested in the more chilled out peaceful and philosophical animes so i think i might try this haibane renmai anime out when i have got my new laptop .

Hahaha, thats a nice one, its so far from my personality, but I loved it.
I still laugh everytime I think about the loli teacher.
