I just want to recommend this anime to everyone. I have just seen the last episode and must say it is one of the best anime series I have seen. The storyline doesn't drag or hurry, but goes at the right pace for the 13 episodes. The animation is beautifully clean and is possibly one of the best animated animes I have seen, especially to detail. It is a wonderful mixture of happiness and sadness that balances very well with the storyline. Because the way the last episode finishes it wouldn't surprise me if they made some more and I know that the manga goes up to 7 volumes now.

Yeah, I've seen Gunslinger Girl too, and once you get past the disturbing premise of cute little girls turned into ruthless killing machines (Not to give anything away, but Henrietta's berserker murder spree in episode one made even me gasp), it's a great series, well plotted and well executed over the course of it's brief 13 episode run. I recommend this anime highly.

I've watched all the anime and have all 7 volumes of comic(so far).
I love how Henrietta devotes her *brother*, ahem, Jose.
It really makes me want to go visit Italy.

Looks like ADV have finally got their thumb out of their arse and are releasing volumes 4-6 this year in English. Just been looking on Amazon and found vol. 4 is due for June with 6 in November. Hopefully they'll keep going and do Vol.7 next year.
