Chinese actors to play Japanese in an american movie?

So what, next to having David "I'm a texas hick" Carrodine play Bruce Lee's part in "Kung Fu", it's all small potatoes.

What's the big deal? Why does no one like this movie? 'cause a chinese person played a japanese persons role (geisha) and a geisha (Which I found out alot, btw) is supposed to be perfect and pure?

I'm kind of annoyed by some comments about this film. For starters, I will point out that the author is American. Having read the novel Author Golden had some good insight about japanese culture and the geisha culture. Which is why I don't think the movie should have been subbed becasue the story was written in English all along. Second of all, is anyone aware of the fact that the chinese actors made the choice the choice to be in this film even though it takes place in Japan? Granted they could have found some Japanese actors, but it doesn't seem like they did. Besides, those actors probably know that most Westerners can't tell the difference anyways.
