Gaijin Houses in smaller cities?

Hi everyone!

I'm going to Japan for three months this spring, april-june. It seems to me that a Gaijin House would be the best choice of accommodation, but I don't want to live in the multimillion cities. The problem is that it seems impossible to find any Gaijin Houses in any other cities than Tokyo, Osaka and maybe Kyoto - at least on the internet.

How do I go about to find one? Do you know one you can recommend? I want something around 60 000 yen a month, where I can use the internet a lot - preferably using my laptop. Since I'm going to stay for quite a while, I'm a bit reluctant to go for a place that I haven't heard any recommendations for either.

Anyone who can help me out here?

Higashi Totsuka. Its a drag down a line to Yokohama but still out of the way. Close to enoshima which is a beach area with surfing in sumemr and only one and a half hours away from hakone/fuji area.

I live in a gaijin house run by this company. No problems at all.

It is really hard to find gaijin houses anywhere but the biggest cities. I couldn't even find an available one in Yokohama. There were a few but they were all booked up. In the end, I found one on the near side of Tokyo (Minami Shinagawa) and commuted to work in Yokohama, which actually wasn't that bad because I was going in the opposite direction from most of the traffic.

Theres a bundle on the Denentoshi line within Yokohama-shi.

Thanks a lot for the replies! It sure does seem difficult. I'm trying to look for a monthly apartement now, but it's not very easy either. I've thought of trying to find someone who needs a flatmate, do any of you know of a good site for posting that kind of stuff?

That Higashi Totsuka-place looks like an alternative though. Maybe I'll start off with a month near Tokyo and try to get further away later on.
