Hi, im new to this website, and i am having a problem now, please help...
i bought a vibrator from from an online store(Singapore) and i used it without washing, and now im worried that it might be 2nd hand, therefore i contacted the seller and he told me he got it from Japan. So I went to the website, but it is all in Japanese... I was told to check out the website and the exchange/return policy. I tried e-mailing the owner of the japanese sex toys website, but he didn't reply any of my emails. Can some1 help me please?
The website is http://www.aquastyle.co.jp please help, thank you!
(I would like to know what happen under the exchange policy, do they take back the spoilt product, fix it and then sell(Without disinfecting it)? Im very afraid of contracting STD)

Are you serious?

I checked the web site address you provided, but it only showed a single word, "index" on my browser.

I would say this looks strange from the very start.

Yes, I agree, but I decided to give her the benefit of a doubt.

oh forget to add, they have got an english version page, but the translator doesn't make sense, therefore i do not know what they are saying...

Why on earth would you think they sell used/refurbished dildos?

erm... what happen was this, i found like 2 strand of hairs inside the medical egg vibrator. (Between the cyberskin and the white plastic vibrator), and the strangest thing is that my partner and I are both bald at the private parts. So this got us worried, friends were saying it might be from the bed...etc, but im just too paranoid. Besides I didn't wash the vibrator, and use it as soon as i took it out from the box. Im so scared of getting some incurable dieseases, therefore online mates suggested that i should approach the manufacturer to get a clearer view of things. But when i went to the website... i couldn't read it therefore i would like you guys to help me with it, many thanks !

Mike Cash: Erm, i could only view the direct translation of the website, and funny things appeared... I located the Shipping Returns/Exchange policy page, but terms like 'out of condom' appeared which makes no sense... And im afraid of sabotage, as i have read many issue of people trying to spread HIV to others thru the placing of infected needles on movie seats, putting their blood into ketcup bottles, infected needles inside the vending machine's coin return slots, etc.... therefore im pretty worried as i don't have much knowledge upon the company(whether it is trustworthy,reliable,etc... )

Were the hairs pubic hairs? If not, they probably got there during the manufacturing process.

I found the line you're talking about in the Returns/Exchange policy:

★ご注意:コンドームは商品の性質上、クーリングオフ制度対象外です。返品交換はできません。

Nothing to worry about; it just says that you can't return or exchange condoms.

...funny topic Soon people will post here to ask if it's possible to exchange their wifes at that rate...☝

oh, i know that every factory has their own return policies, what is the policy of this company? Like for example if the vibrator someone purchase is faulty, how is the return like? Because the current issue im afraid, is that im afraid someone might sabotage ( He/she who is infected with who-knows-what-deadly-virus uses it, then return it to the factory, not washing it properly). And who knows what the factory do, they might just fix it and ship it out to consumers. I was wondering do they even disinfect the returned good?

Mike Cash : They were indeed pubic hair. 2 Curly strands of hair.

It doesn't really matter what the policy of aquastyle is, does it? Didn't you buy it from some other dealer? Was it the Singapore version of eBay? You may very well have bought a second-hand product from the Singapore dealer, but I don't think the manufacturer is responsible for it.

My advice: Throw it away, and purchase from reputable dealers in the future.

It funny you found the spiders legs after and not before you tested the merchandise.

You can rule out HIV risk for a start - it cannot survive at room temperature (in Japan thats about 22-28) for more than 30 minutes.

As for the other STDs they also dont do well outside the body for long - but i dont have an exhaustive list to hand - you need to do some surfing for yourself.

I think I know what the company will say if you ask if they pre-sterilised that... Yes.

If your health is your main concern get a blood test in a weeks time and take the dildo along for a swab

it is like a online sex store, not like ebay, but like a online store with shopping cart. the store owner was saying it is 100% brand new, but how would he know where else it came from before him? Any1 knows the reputation of aquastyle? Heard of it before, popular in japan, etc? Am i too paranoid as this issue isn't a problem, or what?

I think you're being far, far too paranoid.....but since we're talking about your health and peace of mind, my opinion doesn't matter.

Out of curiosity....you say you've talked about this with friends. Did your friends know you had the device before you talked to them about the hair? In other words....Is it possible the hairs came from your friends surreptitiously using your toy?

WOW i can go to bed today knowning i seen just about everything on a forum...

Since this does seem real, I would agree with Mike in saying there is perhaps not too much to worry about, because, as pointed out by Crackpot, if the vibrator had been dry, and the seemingly pubic hair had been out for a while, the probability is next to nil.

But keep checking for information along these lines to put your mind at ease. And, as mentioned above, check with your friends.

I wish you luck in getting over the matter.

I'd help you by looking at the web page you listed, but....right now is not the best of times. (I'm at a public computer at the airport.) Wishing you the best of luck!

Wow! Odd topic. I never thought I would encounter this kind of topic on Jref.

thanks guys...
What happen was this:
I open up the vibrator from the box, and used it... before using, my partner was lookin and checking at it, den i used it, next thing i know there was a strand of hair inside the vibrator(between the cyberskin and the plastic vibrator ) therefore i freaked out. Then my partner was saying there wasn't any hair before i used it, so we took the hair out and continued from where we stop, then another strand spotted... This got me paranoid, as my partner might just be bluffing me so that i could feel better

No one(my friends) touch my vibrator, i got it from the online shop and use it, thats all.

So anyway, im worried because i believe that the rubber is air-proof. Meaning anything under the rubber could not interact with air.(I read alot about HIV, and it says if the virus comes in contact with oxygen, only then will it die) I took out the rubber and realized that the insides is oil-based. Therefore even if someone did use it, how am i suppose to know if it is dry or still wet, since the vibrator(the insides) is coated with oil? I know this sounds very far fetch, but im too anxious to know, and that i still have got around 3 months for a testing, to confirm my status. I m scared, someone please help!

The aquastyle website gives me the impression they are a reputable company.

I think you might want to concentrate your efforts on the online dealer you bought it from.

really? I am pretty certain the online shop owner can be trusted, because his products are on reputable magazines over here in singapore... So in your opinion, aquastyle is reputable... is there any other people's opinions?

I wanted to email the owner to ask him, what if my product is spoilt, then i exchanged it for a new one, what will then happen to the old one... but i don't know how to read japanese, much less write/type it out. Any volunteers?
I believe that would definitely ease my mind...

Stop loosing time asking such questions...write your mail in english (japanese people know it!). Anyway, in english or japanese, at worse don't expect to get any responce back, and at best you'll just get a "sorry" answer, my bet...
Ho, and by the way, for the couple of dollars/whatever type of money you use in you country, go in an usual sex shop, and buy a new toy! ;-)

It's just getting weirder and weirder hahahaha

How on earth did I miss this entire thread up-until-now... godspeed original poster! Also, I hear that you can put those things in the dish-washer*, though that might be of little sollace after the fact....

Personally, I don't think someone would sell something like that used, and I suppose, if I bought one used, my biggest concern would be with the vendor who sold me a used vibrator, and not thinking about replacing the original... eeeeeyuck...

*I should warn you, I own neither a dishwasher nor a vibrator, so please read your owners manual!
