For JRock fans - What was the first jRock band you listened too?

my first jrock song i listened too was dunno wich song was of the indie band transtic nerve. It was a sample of there song wich i downloaded from a online comic website.

then after sawing pics of the jrockers wich the characters in the comic (its a jrock comic :-) ) where inspired from, i searched the net and got hooked on gackt and more.... (just like was said before: CHAOS).
altough i tought he looked pretty weird too me at first *grins*

I´m dont know the first one i lissened to, but, it was Vanilla, by gackt, that maked me lissen to jrock. I just loved it! :-)

My first one that I knew was Japanese was Puffy.😊 But since I have been here I have found all these other names and trying them out 'cos there are a few threads with "recommend..." or "I'm new to J-rock.." with LOTS of names👍 😄

I am an old fart. Year heard:2000- band: Dir en Grey- first song: Cage

The first band I listened to was X-Japan! I was looking for images of X-1999 and pics of X-Japan appeared and I thought they look cool. The first song I listened was Tears and I felt instantly in love....and here I am :-)

*joins an allience with Da monster* Next month on the 21st is the 6 year anniversary I always, I mean always, remember and listen to Cage at 12 am.

My first J-rock song was "Au revoir" by Malice Mizer, because I saw some pictures and they really caught my attention. A girl showed me by msn a picture of Dir en grey, and then while I was looking for Malice Mizer videos I read "Dir en grey" and I said "hey, this is the band that the girl showed me". It was "Zan" live in a TV show. That was the moment I feel in love with DEG ^^

My first band was Malice Mizer. i read about them in a magazine nad asked a friend to search music for me. that was like 4 years ago. We both loved it! After that was X-Japan, i think..

The last 6 months have been madness. I don't remember what's the last thing I heaaarrd!!!!!!!!!!! I think it was Hyde's Faith.. of japanese reggaeton...

First JRock song I listened to was Gravity by Luna Sea... I love their stuff!!

then I got to downloading and found L'arc~en~ciel!!

Heheheeh so those were my two first JRock loves

Uhh.... uhh....

.....

I forgot the first band I listened to! XD All I remember is that when I was a little kid, I couldn't stand rock, but then one day a few years ago I saw a picture of these guys in weird outfits (I thought vk was freaky). I thought, "wth? They dress strangely..." So, I listened to samples on an official website, and I actually liked it! Hahah, total change of heart. :p

I guess the first Japanese rock band whose music I completely fell in love with was Gazette's. I still like them. Whee~~

Darn anime past >.< That's why my 1st jrock band was Laruku, but I fel in love with MYV... So Laruku don't count :P Now I live in a dream and surrounded by beautiful j-rockers with their gorgeous voices, outfits and... cuteness XD

my first miyavi song was gariben rock and for diru it was obscure..yay!!!!!!!

I really dont know who, I was a strictly JPop girl for a good bit with the occasional Gackt/Malice Mizer. I was introduced to Malice Mizer/Gackt & Dir en grey at the same time, cant reallyt tell you the first song, although I THINK it might have been Au Revoir. But I didn't like Dir en grey. And was kinda meh on Malice Mizer and Gackt. At the time I was introduced I was GaGa over Utada, Ayumi, Morning Musume, Puffy, Namie Amuro, W-inds, V6, Smap and Glay (which although I know they are JRock and a bit VK I refuse to see it dont ask why cause even I don't know so technically you could say Glay was my first but I don't consider then JRock so...) But I think you can say Malice Mizer/Gackt (for some reason they go hand in hand) was the first band that I liked (and considered JRock). But I wasn't Gaga over them. It was like for every 20 J-Pop song on my playlist you would have 1 MM/Gackt song.

The band that has officially turned me into a J-Rock fan was Dir en grey (despite not liking them the first time I heard them) with Child Prey. I think that was 2 1/2 years ago. From Dir en grey I expanded. Although I am more of a JMusic fan.

if you count judy and mary jrock then they are the first jrock band i ever listened to. If you don't count them, then L'arc-en-ciel was my first. All from anime!

an online friend of mine was a visual kei extremist :4 and i kinda ignored it until he sent me diru - the final and then i was hooked...

Judy and Mary are a Jrock band in my opinion, though perhaps there are aspects of pop in their songs as well. They were one of my first as I heard them before X Japan, but back then i considered them pop, not rock. [my jpop *phase* was before i found jrock XD]
