Yes, finally my senior year has come around and I also have a job to afford to go to Japan for the following summer. I need help on guessing the cost to stay in Japan for 2 months. I figured jref would be the best source so here I am. Oh yeah, i'll only eat 2 meals a day and basically find a hotel on the outskirts of Tokyo. Thank you very much in advance.

Ometedou Thomas56. Restaurant food fetches around 600-1200 yen/meal. Although one could also subsist on eating Yoshinoya (around 270-500 yen/meal) good portion size (for me) or just cup noodles. Accomodation is approximately 5000 yen/day. Although there are some places that charge lower, I couldn't know if it would be that okay. Business class hotels of course draw around 20,000 yen/day.

adding that the topic is asked quite frequently, so search the forums for terms/words like "how much" or "cost of Japan" etc and variations thereof

new koyo lets people stay for at least a month @ $30 a day or something like that. email them and ask for specifics/references of other hotels
