Good evening. I'm writing a script for a short film and I'm having trouble translating some English to Japanese. The English is " I'm on my way home, don't be angry. I know Keiko-Chan is waiting, don't get wide. Love you, bye"
The translation I've got so far is " watashi wa ienikaeru tochūdesu, okoranaide kudesai. Itoshi teru, Sayōnara"
Any corrections are appreciated thank you
( for context it's about Scottish druggies and one of the characters is married to a Japanese woman)
 
I would say
これから帰ります (I'm headed home now)
ケイコちゃん待っているんですよね、すぐ帰るから怒らないで。(I know Keiko is waiting, don't get mad, I'll be home soon)
じゃねー (see you later)

Your version is understandable, but unnatural.
 
Hey after translating it seems to imply the person being spoken to is the subject. The guy who's saying the dialogue is telling his wife he'll be home soon and to not be mad

Is Keiko the wife? If so, I'd only change one thing

これから帰ります (I'm headed home now)
もう少しまっててね、すぐ帰るから。怒らないで。(Just wait a bit more, I'll be home soon. Don't get mad)
じゃねー (see you later)
 
Keiko is the daughter. It's her birthday and she's waiting for the dad ( my character who's speaking on the phone) and the wife is telling him to hurry up
 
So the guy is talking on the phone to his wife, right?
Use the first one.

I thought it meant "don't get mad". If it has a different meaning, let me know.
 
In all my wondering of the internet , I hadn't run into that phrase. We watch nothing but TV shows from England and Australia/New Zealand and don't recall hearing that term. Learn something new everyday here.

If you want to translate it to Japanese, you need to translate it to English first!

I found it but it still doesn't make that much sense to me.

How is asking her not to get wide different from asking her not to get angry?
 
LOL , my Father-in-law was from Scotland and I only understood about 1/3 of what he was saying. I really missed him when he passed. I had one of life's unforgettable moments with him while shopping. My wife loved raccoons and I was buying her a stuffed one. The sales girl happened to be a black woman and Scotty started telling her it was the year of the "coon"(zodiac) and she thought he was this white racist starting trouble with her. I was glad she didn't have a gun , she was so angry.
 
There is no raccoon on the Zodiac though. Unless the Scottish version is somehow different.
 
There were times when I wondered if he wwas from planet earth. My mother-in-law was also a bit different , LOL. She served in the English Army as an ack-ack gunner and taught hand to hand combat. I tried never to anger her , LOL. Scotty was in the famous Black Watch and got out as a Sargent after 20 years in. His specialty was knife fighting. When my wife and I went to tell them we had eloped and got married instead of doing a big wedding , I made my wife go in and tell them while I stayed in the car with the doors locked , LOL.
