News Figure-groping visitors stir controversy at Ghibli Park

Visitors posting photos of themselves groping figures of underage film characters have caused significant controversy at Ghibli Park in Aichi. The Twitter photos showed visitors touching the chest of the character statues and pretending to take underskirt photos with their smartphones. Aichi governor Omura Hideaki announced a "crackdown on such photos" and said he would ask the park's operating company to stop any inappropriate behaviour by visitors immediately.

It wasn't immediately clear which legal steps could be taken against figure gropers: "property damage" or the elastic clause of "business obstruction". The park operator has so far refused to comment.
