Extending VISA

Hello =)
I was wondering how to go about extending my working holiday VISA... the initial 6months is up in the beggining of November and I'd like to extend it for another 6 months.

Where do I go about doing so? Which particular office?
Also, how long does this take to process (ie when should I go an get it done)?

You need to visit the Immigration Office would be my guess. It is inconveniently located in a beautiful new building down at the Shinagawa Wharf. Lots of folks take a train to 天王洲アイル and walk the rest of the way.
