Hey guys, I was doing a practice Japanese exam.
And I came across several things. Once again I can gather what it means but can't quite translate it into English successfully.
In Sentence 1, 美味しそう means "It seems tasty" but the に throws me off. Is it describing the way that the eating is being done?
In Sentence 2, it sounds to me like "Which one only matches the conversation?" Is that correct?
In the following, I took a short passage of the conversation.
What's happening in the conversation is(parts not included) there's a party going on and Maria is asked which cakes she likes. So she says she likes the red ones, but then she follows it up by saying the chocolate cakes don't look good.
So now in Sentence 3-1, she is saying that Ron tried the cake but... then I do not know the rest. I think it's "Ron said that you(Maria) had better stop leave it alone.
In Sentence 3-2 it seems as if Yan is deciding to stop eating the chocolate cake and just leave it due to what Ron said.
Lastly in Sentence 3-3 it appears that Tanaka is deciding to do the same.
I searched そう and here's what I got:
1. so; really; seeming
2. (after masu stem and adj-stem) appearing that; seeming that; looking like; having the appearance of
So would that make Sentence 3-3 "I'll do so too."?
Thanks really for all your help. I was hesitant on posting this due to me asking for so much help haha
