Hello!

I have an oral exam in Japanese coming up and one of the topics I need to prepare for it is「私の趣味」.
I wrote down what I want to say about it, but would like to make sure whether it's correct before memorizing it. Since unfortunately I currently don't have a tandem partner, it would be very nice if someone could correct any mistakes I made and make suggestions about unnatural sounding parts.
The text goes as follows:

(the text is supposed to contain one sort of surprising or funny element. What I wanted to say is basically "I used to doodle into my notebook all the time during class in middle school, but since now I'm almost always paying attention and also have to prepare for the exams, I don't get around to drawing a lot" - what is the best way to say this?)
スポーツも好きです。子供のとき、色々なスポーツを試みました。例えば陸上競、乗馬、ジャズ・ダンス、合気道です。今、水泳と岩登りが好きです。泳ぎながら、私はいつもリラックスします。岩登りは水泳と比較すると挑戦です。靴はとても狭くて、普通手がかなり速く痛いんで、次の日は身体中筋肉痛です。
岩登りのルートを「問題」というのが普通です。これらの問題の一つを解決した後で、満足感がえます。いい気分転換です。

Well done! Just a few corrections.

いつも授業中手帳に物を描きました。
I would say いつも授業中ノートにらくがきをしていました。.

I'm almost always paying attention
What do you mean by "to pay attention" here?

色々なスポーツを試みました。
試みました is not wrong but sounds too stiff. 試しました or やってみました would be better.

陸上競、
There is a typo.

靴はとても狭くて、
Which do you mean the shoes are "narrow width" or "small"? The former is 幅が狭い and the latter is 小さい.

手がかなり速く痛いんで、
Have you learned "to become~" form?

岩登りのルートを「問題」というのが普通です。
The translation 問題 doesn't work well there in Japanese. What is the original English word?I would say like this;
岩登りのルートを普通 "original English word" 、つまり「問題」と呼びます。

満足感がえます。
満足感 is the subject of えます in that sentence, i.e., it means "a feeling of satisfaction gets (something)". (Hint: In what forms of verbs does が indicate the object?)

If you feel not just satisfied after rock climbing, but also like you achieved something, you can use 達成感 instead of 満足感.

Thank you so much for the useful comments! (Since this was my first post in this forum and I was already asking for help, I worried a little about not receiving a reply)

Toritoribe, thanks a lot for the time you put into your explanations!
When talking about the shoes, I meant "narrow width" - thank you for showing me both options.
By "paying attention" I meant listening to the teacher and not doing anything else instead.

満足感 is the subject of えます in that sentence, i.e., it means "a feeling of satisfaction gets (something)". (Hint: In what forms of verbs does が indicate the object?)
I'm afraid I'm unable to figure out the correct expression - could you please solve this mystery for me?

Then 授業に集中する can describe it.

The answer of the hint is "the potential form".

Ah, now that you point it out it's pretty obvious...
Again, thanks a lot for your help!
