Hi, I need to make a phone call in the next hour to Japan, and the person I am calling does not speak english.

I would like to say the following phrases:
"Am I speaking with ______'s sister?"
"I am sorry for disturbing you at this time.."
"I only know a little bit of Japanese."
"Is ____ home?"
"What time will she be home?"
"Please tell her to contact me.."
"I am worried."

Thank you, this is a life or death situation!

Thank you for all of your help..

I called multiple times, and it was answered multiple times, but the connection was so bad that they couldn't hear me and just hung up.

Now, I would like to send an email in Japanese...

"Hello, this is _____. I am so sorry for calling your house many times so late at night. The connection was bad, so you were unable to hear me.

I would just like to know if _____ is ok. I am really worried about her.

Thank you very much"

Im sorry if I am asking so much but im very very worried about the well-being of this person... If i don't receive a reply from this mail I am about to send them, I will be taking the next flight to Japan. This is how serious my situation is..

I would be really grateful for your assistance.. thank you

彼女(の健康)を大変心配しています。 <--(As I would have said. Both seem like standard approaches, so no comment on the difference between these two examples).

電話がつながりにくくて、聞き取りずらかっただろうと思います。(Hehe...far more likely to be heard for "difficult to talk" than my form お電話が遠かったようです with a meaningless よう following the past tense.）

Oh, sorry, toritoribesan got there first. And I don't have Japanese enabled....

The only way this was a life-or-death situation was if the call were to prevent a murder, suicide, or to give/get some vital information about a drug or allergy.

A call just to ask if someone is OK, regardless of the circumstances, is not a life-or-death situation.

Clarification from the OP would be nice, but I have a sneaking suspicion we will never see him again.

He could simply have a preference for vagueness. ＿＿＿が死んでいるか生きているか私は分からない。shows less established etiquette I suppose.

Oh, well. Just remember, it takes more time to fly to Japan than to travel somewhere in Canada for a reasonable connection.
