On the 18th, in Kashiwa City, Chiba Prefecture, a case occurred where a man and a woman in their 50s were stabbed to death by an unknown assailant. The police have confirmed it as a murder case and established an investigation headquarters. This is a report from the scene.

The incident occurred in a residential area just off a busy prefectural road.

Currently, police lines have been drawn, and there are many police vehicles and investigators in the area.

Around 6 p.m. on the 18th, a report was made to the police from a residence in Takayanagi, Kashiwa City, stating that "a person was found lying in a pool of blood. I heard a woman's voice arguing."

According to the police, a 59-year-old man and woman living in this house were stabbed with a knife-like object and were later confirmed dead.

A nearby resident said, "I really hope they catch the person soon."
Another resident said, "I have to pick up my grandchild around noon."

The police have established an investigation headquarters, concluding that it is a murder case based on the bodies and the scene of the crime.

Furthermore, about 1 kilometre away from the crime scene, a fire broke out, completely burning down eight houses.

It has been reported that the resident of the house where the fire originated cannot be contacted.

The police are searching for the man who fled the murder scene and are investigating the connection to the fire.

The police take the warrant for arrest of Suspect Sakamaki living in the house of the cause on the suspicion of arson, and they search whereabouts. Because I let a car suddenly take off, and Suspect Sakamaki resisted it when the police officer who discovered an unidentified car in Inzai-shi on the night of 19th approached, it was arrested a flagrante delicto on the suspicion of interference with a government official in the execution of his duties.

Suspect Sakamaki who should have had a money trouble between Mr. and Mrs. killed Watarai considers Suspect Sakamaki to know some kind of circumstances about the murder case and, according to the person concerned with investigation, pushes forward the investigation.
