Too bad the story failed to mention that in Japan Ronald McDonald is known as Donald McDonald.

I've read about this a few months ago, interesting concept indeed.

"The reason Japanese people are so short and have yellow skins is because they have eaten nothing but fish and rice for 2,000 years. If we eat McDonald's hamburgers and potatoes for a thousand years we will become taller, our skin become white and our hair blond."

Err...If that's what most asian people think I can understand the reason why they go to that aweful place called "Mc Donalds"

An interesting topic, but, considoring its japan, is it all THAT suprising they put a hot western looking woman in an ad?....now generalization aside, we can all agree that japanese men appriciate a good looking woman, so, the question is instead of "why did this happen" but "why did it take so long?"

Heh, i laughed a little at this, funny thing is if japanese did eat beef and potatos mainly for a thousand years, they very well might be taller, despite the fact they wont get white skin or blonde hair.
But then again the japanese diet hasnt done the japanese any faults and it keeps em healthy.

Well, I can't say I'm surprised. I'll be a bit afraid if they start a campaign of "Adult" Happy Meals with very special toys though...

This quote is actually all correct except for the fact that the hair won't turn blond but a moppy red. But of course, that last factor shouldn't matter as much as being tall and white. Furthermore the lips will enlarge threefold and develop a blood-red complexion. Must be all the added iron, eh? Yup, McDonald's- the health center of the world, with Den Fujita as your leading expert!
