Doing an essay in Japanese and need some help please

Hi all, the title pretty much says it all. I'm not going to ask too much since I know it would be considered cheating, but our teacher has said that I can look up certain words for things I'm not sure about and obviously the whole point of this essay is to test my language ability so far. Anyway any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Firstly can anyone direct me to a page where I can see the stroke order for caslte 城 or give me a clue as to how to do it?

How would you spell Luxembourg in katakana? I would just be guessing if I did it and I prefer not to.

What is the kanji for おじ? (If there is one)

What is the word for 'travelling'? I totally forgot...

I might ask for some other things later. If anyone is interested in knowing, I decided to write about the summer I spent in Germany last year with my family.

I can teach you how to fish, instead of feeding you. The easiest way is to wikipedia it and use the link to the Japanese page.

If you have not learned it, why do you want to use kanji?

Go back to your textbook.... Every time you cannot remember, review it. that's the only way you will remember next time.

Ok, since I don't want to start a new thread I'm just gonna bump this one with a question.

Whats the word or how would you describe a person who is old, I mean I know theres ふるい but my understanding is that it can't be used to describe a person. Is it like instead of using 'older person' you would use like お姉さんお兄さん? But the thing is what if you didn't know who the person was and you wanted to say "I know its an older person"?

古い（ふるい） cannot be used to describe person.
It is used for things and concepts.
The only exception I can think of is when one is talking about one's way of thinking. If one says あの人は古い that means he/she is old-fashioned.

There are some words for "old" about people's age;
年取った（としとった）： aged
年上の（としうえの）： older (than someone)

e.g.
「お兄さん」は年上の男のきょうだいのことです。
("oniisan" means elder brother(s).)

きょうだい（きょうだい） could mean either brothers and sisters, or brothers.
When you are asked きょうだいはいますか？ that normally means you're being asked if you have brothers and sisters, not only brothers.
To emphasize one is specifically referring to brothers, sometimes we say 男の兄弟 though it might look redundant when one see the kanji.
(And you can say 女の兄弟 though it is more common to use 姉妹（しまい） in writing.)

Sorry its me again, need some help with translation. Unfortunately I'm not at my computer so I have to write in romanji. I know this is more 'sentence translation' stuff in it but I already had a thread here so feel free to move this.

ryokinwa futsuuno hoteru yorimo zutto yasui.
Ok, basically my guess is that this sentence says something like "There is a relaxed payment plan for the hotel so you can rest all you want", but I don't think it is.

yoru, osokunatte, denshani noru kotoga dekinakunatta sarariimanni, kapuseru hoteruwa totemo benrida.
My guess: At night (I don't know osokunatte) you are not allowed to use the phone, it is very convenient for salarymen. The sentence seems kinda strange to go from one subject into another so I'm guessing there's some connection between not using the phone and salarymen...

What is "hiroma", ookii hiroma, is that a big type of room since this paper is about hotels?

ryookin = price (noun)
futsuu = normal or usual (noun)
A yori B wa adjective = A is more adjective than B.
zutto = much, by far, etc (adverb)
yasui = cheap

ryo-kin (amount you pay)
futsuu no (ordinary)
hoteru (hotel) you guessed this wright
...yorimo + adjective (-er than ...)
zutto + adjective (much ~)
yasui (cheap)

(Its) charge/cost is much cheaper than ordinary hotels.
I guess it means the cost for a stay at a capsule hotel.

yoru (at night)
osokunatte = osokunaru + te form (to become late)
(osoi + naru = osokunaru)
densha ni (on the train)
noru kotoga dekinakunatta = noru + koto ga + dekinai + naru (past)
adjective + naru : to become such a state
verb + koto ga dekiru (be able to ~)
sarariiman ni : for salarymen

When it gets late at night, for the salarymen who are unable to get on a train

kapuseru hoteru wa (calsule hotels)
totemo benrida (very convenient)

calsule hotels are very convenient.

Yes, hiroma means a big room which can be translated as a hall, or salle.
It is a word consists of adjective "hiroi" (big in space) + "ma" (room).

A ga B ni benri = A is convenient/useful for B.

yoru, osokunatte, denshani noru kotoga dekinakunatta sarariimanni, kapuseru hoteruwa totemo benrida.

i-adjective plus naru ==> drop i and replace it with ku + naru
ookii + naru (to become big) ==> ooki ku naru

osokunatte ("yoru osoi" = late at night)
dekinakunatta ("dekiru"==> "dekinai")

To me it's the best "Kanji-learner-software" I've never seen.
I've been using it for years. It's a very complete programe. You can learn even the stroke order. You can leak (or filter) the common ２０００常用漢字, and you can order them by frequency, radical, stroke count... and you can create your own categories...
It includes a dictionary of 55.000 words, and you can download a package of thousands of example sentences in the same site.
