War has nothing good for the people. It destroys civilizations and ruins the children and the adult equally. The wounds of nuclear radiations of the World War II have not yet healed. The life of children, our next generations, have been made miserable. Due to destruction of schools, children leave the education and pick up the weapon to fight war.
War has no limits. It knows no boundaries. Once the war starts, it takes its own course. It is easy to start a war but very difficult to stop it. Just see the Iraqis dying in thousands, despite the fact that US started this war to curb terrorism and to promote peace. But after seven years of war, peace is still illusive.
The question arises: Does the peace have limits? Is the war limitless? If the wars go on unabated in every nook and corner of the world, then should the people stop thinking about peace and take the war as order of the day?

I very much agree with the sentiment, however, I think the wording is, often, deliberately vague.

I wonder ??

If all the countries in the world passed a law that to take up arms and fight , you must be over 50 years old and have 1 million dollars in your bank account, if that might limit or stop wars ?

Uncle Frank

There are few people who earn alot of money from wars so i think the question should be "Is there a limit for wars".

I like Uncle Frank's suggestion.

I think it was Hemingway who said that wars are started by old men to send young men off to die.

I don't believe it's an accident that our two wars now were started by men who never served in the military, but instead went out of their way to avoid serving in Vietnam.

You cannot please everybody.

Peace doesn't have limits. It depends on the people itself. People have different points of view. But we can always respect each others belief. Yet each person have different attitudes and therefore we cannot please everybody. Some are just compromised which is not good at all. We may not see global peace but still we can have it in our hearts if we do the right thing. Peace of mind is always free. It is one thing that we cannot buy. Let's start from within, and in due time we can have a better world.

I'd like to fancy that a world at peace would work out, but people like taking the easier route and simply killing the people who disagree or act against them. It's always harder to solve a conflict without bloodshed, but it's been done before.
