Displaying new posts since last visit

Whenever I attempt to view a list of new posts since my last visit, I never get the full list. Usually only a third of them (or fewer). Is this a bug or a feature?

I think there is some effect where threads become marked as old after you've been to the board for some time even if you don't read them. Maybe that's relevant - but don't quote me.

I never use the new posts since last visit myself ...

Mike, I may be wrong, but I'll try

The main screen shows the # of posts and # of threads. When you click on the new posts since last visit, It shows you all of the threads since your last visit. The program seems to show 25 at a time. So the main page may say 256 posts and 56 threads. You will only see 56 entries once you go to the "New Posts". Thoses 256 posts are embedded within those 56 threads that are displayed. Did that make sense?
