Quickly here, it's very true that I've spent more than I should've on my credit card before, but the last credit card bill wasn't bad at all, still made my wife angry.
Before she told me the only way she could cancel my credit card was to declare me dead, and she said she might do that if the credit card bills were too big, but that it meant I could never get another credit card again (she told me that perhaps two or three weeks ago).
So the last bill came in on Saturday, and she was quite angry with that, and home was guaranteed to be chilly all weekend. I decided to get out to the only gaijin bar here just for a brighter atmosphere.
Anyways, came home from the bar, and because I'm not a guy that likes to tell people 'no', some chick hitting on every guy on the bar asked for my phone number, and I only thought I can't have you calling me, so I thought I'd just give her my email and hope she forgot about me later, so I show her my email address (she's holding my phone now), and she sees it's an iPhone I have and thus we both belong to Softbank (makes exchanging numbers for texts easier I guess if we both belong to the same carrier), so she enters in her number and calls herself, right, so now her number is in my history of calls. She ends up going home with some Nigerian guy.
I get home, and my wife gets pretty upset that I have some girl's number in there (can't remember telling her that it was a chick's number), and by now I know it's better to just sarcastically agree with whatever she says when she's this angry just to let her know we're not going to get anywhere at the moment, otherwise we'd get into a lot of other unreasonable stuff like 'a sincere husband would've just told her off' and 'what was I doing to encourage her'.
While I'm sleeping she calls the credit card company and tells them I'm dead, and my son later asks her why she told someone on the phone I was dead. She tells him it's cause I spend too much money on my credit card, partly true, but hardly true of the last credit card bill.
Anyways, thinking it over, she wouldn't have declared me dead had I not come home with some chick's number in my calling history, she was just angry and decided to take some drastic action against me.
So the real question is, if anyone knows, is this true that she can do this to me, and if so is there some way I can reverse that?
I mean I have nothing I want to buy at the moment to test whether my credit card has actually been cancelled.
