Could you translate this sentence into English?

I'm learning してみれば、にすれば and にしても, but I'm having trouble with this sentence translation. I feel like I'm missing something, but I'm not sure.

This is my attempt at translation. Could you check it?

さっきはあんなことを言っていたけど、彼女にしてもあなたの考えがすべて間違っているとは思っていないけどはずだ。

She was saying that earlier, but I definitely don't think it means she views all your ideas as mistakes.

Just one correction. けど is not needed there.

～にしてみれば, ～にすれば and ～にしたら are almost the same when meaning "on the point of view of ~". The difference between ～にしてみれば/～にすれば/～にしたら and ～にしても are similar to the one between ～は and ～も. The former just indicates the subject or can perform as a contrasitive marker depending on the context, whereas the latter implies "too/also".

You mean the final けど correct? And I would think that it's not even -possible- to put it there. Was 'not needed' understatement? It seems quite jarring to me, but my intuition isn't reliable.

(I would think though that you could say 思っていないはずだけど if you really wanted to soften the statement with a final けど... or... wait ... writing that, I have to say, I've never heard 思っていないはず before and don't know how that could make sense. )

Thanks guys. It's the English translation I wanted to check is correct. That final けど was a typo made by me. Sorry about that. >.< I'll fix it now.

Thanks for the helps and explanation on the differences between にすれば、にしてみれば and にしても. I was wondering about those.

The Japanese sentence is taken from a grammar textbook, so I'm guessing と思っていないはず is ok in Japanese if not particularly common. That's the part of the sentence that was throwing me off though when I tried to translate. I'll get rid of the けど though. xD

Well... if 思っていないはず is correct Japanese, I'm still not sure what it means, but I don't think it could refer to one's own thoughts. There should be no probability expression of any kind in expressing one's own thoughts... I think.

You are correct. The subject of 思っていない is 彼女 in this case. 彼女にしてもあなたの考えがすべて間違っているとは思っていない refers to "she doesn't view all your ideas as mistakes" part, and "I definitely think" is for はず.

(I definitely think she doesn't view all your ideas as mistakes. = I definitely don't think she views all your ideas as mistakes.)

So, in that case, I should translate it as:
She might have said that earlier, but she definitely doesn't think it means she views all your ideas as mistakes. (?)
