Women demand stability... Men that can't work cannot be relied on.
 
My guess would be something like:
"Since women seek stability, a man who cannot work is unreliable."
I'm sure there are more natural ways to say that in English.

Thanks for the help. My translation was more like this "Because women wish for stability......Men who can't do their jobs are unrelible." I guess having an extensive english vocabulary is required to come up with Japanese to english translations huh?

Your translation sounds perfectly natural to me
Side note: if you want it to sound more like spoken English, I'd replace 'seek' with 'look for', and 'cannot' with 'can't', but that's about it.
 
仕事ができない男: This isn't necessarily "can't work" but maybe "isn't successful at his job". It depends on the context.

What is the word ちびまる子ちゃん弁当箱 supposed to mean? I know that last part means lunch box I just don't understand the first part.

Hmm pretty difficult stuff especially with just a few sentences and not the whole story. Lots of products like food and stuff are branded with cartoon characters in Japan. In fact the majority of food aimed at kids probably uses some anime character as a hook.

ザザエさん: This is a manga/anime. The anime is better than the manga. It's about a family where a young man has married the eldest daughter (Sazae san) of a family where the kids are quite separated in age, and gone to live with them. It teaches about Japanese culture and customs that are disappearing.

しんちゃん: This may be talking about "Crayon Shinchan". This is a manga/anime. The manga is better than the anime. It's about a family of a salaryman, a housewife, and a kindergarten kid (and his dog and friends, sister, etc.). The kid is "Shin chan" - he's really crazy and causes lots of problems. It's very funny. ゼロヨン is 04, maybe referring to the year. ーロチーズ is some kind of cheese maybe but it is missing a character at least.

タコちゃんウィンナー: This is probably a wiener sausage. Takochan may be another anime character.

ちびまる子ちゃん: This is a manga/anime. The manga is OK, I haven't watched the anime really. It's autobiographical stories about a woman's life, mostly about when she is at elementary school. It mostly concerns the daily life of an extended family. She has a liking for "essay style" stories that have some kind of point to make about life.

当り前の事を、当り前に言うのが難しいんだ。: I'm not sure exactly!! I think it is "even though something is obvious doesn't mean you can just point it out all the time". Of course this loses the play on words. I think "atarimae ni iu" means "to say something in regular/simple terms".

Ok I have one more translation request of 2004. Could anyone come up with a good translation of this for me?:

かわいいお弁当箱を使ってるのね。芸能界にも多いわよ、そういうグッズが大好きな女の子達。

Here's what I translated it has:
You're using such a cute lunch box. I see them a lot in the show business industry, goods like this are very popular with the girls.

Because it is dialogue translation, the sentence structure is not standard.
多いわよ refers to 女の子達. So, it's: You're using such a cute lunch box. Many girls in show business love [character brand] goods like that.

Here's the context:

【りょうのすけ】どうして本を読む事が恥ずかしいんだよぅ。
【友美】だ、だって、やり慣れない事をする時は、人に見られたKUないって意識がHataraKUじゃない。

That kanji near the end is either 動KU or the Kanji for Hataraku I don't remember which it was.

動く is "ugoku" (to move)
働く is "hataraku" (to work)
"Hataraku" consists of "ninben" combined with kanji for "ugoku"
意識 can be translated as "consciousness" or "mind," depending on context.
Translation:
Because--your mind works in a way that you don't want to be seen doing something you're not accustomed to.

This is very literal. Please rewrite to make it sound more natural.
 
Okay once again I have more sentence requests. It's a couple this time. Here they are:

杯でなくて枚、武でなくて式の間違いではないですね。 A paper only wedding may be referring to a ceremonial ceremony making a private, unofficial, unlicensed/registered marriage....I'm not really sure either.

婚姻届（こんいんとどけ）をする、または婚姻届を提出するといいます。婚姻届とは、いわゆる「役所言葉」 (ｂｕｒｅａｕｃｒａｔｅｓｅ??)ですが、もう一般化しています。こういうことは、やはり日本で生活していないと分からないことですね。でも、エリザベスさんは随分がんばっていますので、関心します。
私もいろいろ勉強したいのですが、なにせ年なので、なかなか頭に入っても、忘れてしまいます。（苦笑）

ひらがなの「い」の問題ではありませんよ。日本語と英字を使うのなら、「Ｆｕｌｌ－ｗｉｄｔｈ Ａｌｐｈａｎｕｍｅｒｉｃ」を選択してください。理由はなかなか説明できないんですが、ビットサイズの関係です。このポストを参照してください。

私の知っているかぎりでは日本語メールの文字化けはないんですが
外国からきたメールの返事を英語で返すとたまにあるようです。
このフォーラムにも日本語の全部全角だけを使っても、時々文字化けがする こともあります。それにはいくつの種類があるだろうの？
