All that I can figure is that you had posted in threads that were deleted. I only know of one such thread right now, and that one is that "Goodbye Eupedia" thread. Other than that I can't help you too much at the moment.

It means that as Frank is a donator here on JRef, one would think that as a donator people wouldn't play games with their posts or reputation count without at the minimum PM'ing them or notifying them that some action was being taken against them for whatever reason.

Donators as you may know are the people that help(ed) support this site and have different benefits or priviledges that "average" members do not.

It is happening to me, so I mentioned it. But in the long run, what difference does it make?

Even if I get the "missing" posts restored, I still have to fight traffic on the way home from work. No, it doesn't bother me. But it could be a glitch in the system that may concern the administrators.

I often see the administrators logged in here, and if the possiblity existed that it was a system glitch and not a human glitch I would think that since this thread is posted under Site Feedback/Admin Contact they would make a reply to let people know.

You are right that in the big picture it means little, actually nothing, same as posting on this message board.

You are quite right....here fantasy becomes reality for some and then forgotten in the rush of power is that there are "real" people behind all those little screens.

Oh I agree with Mikawa and what he wrote, and I agree that we are all human.

And what is even more human is the ability to admit honestly when one has made an error or mistake, that goes for everyone no exceptions.:redface: ;-)

It is also a part of human nature to be forgiving in many instances as well.

That was Thomas' mistake. He shouldn't have done that. People who don't want to participate on Eupedia anymore but have posted there before should be banned, otherwise it creates problems with the database, as with your old posts and Mike Cash's old posts. Thomas didn't even consult me before doing this, although he does not take care of Eupedia otherwise. Talk about one-way decision ! Unlike splitting or deleting threads, deleting members from the database is irreversible, and it does compromise whole threads.

I wish that you would ackowledge me as co-creator of the "new JREF" (since 2004) most of what you see in the forum (categories, subforums, design, avatars, smileys, new flags...), gallery (categories, pictures...) and site content (travel guide, etc.) was actually created in great part by myself. Even JREF's logo, main index page and headers are my work, not Thomas'. But it is true that there wouldn't be a JREF without Thomas' hard work at taking care of the server and other technical issues (e.g. forum hacks...). In other words, there would be no JREF as it is now without either of us.

I have no problem acknowledging credit where it is deserved. The issue, though, is that these site design features and 'reference' articles are not what keep old and loyal members returning as much as these endless confrontations are driving everyone away....
