Hi, I have a friend currently travelling in Japan who has quite bad allergies.
He's arrived at his hotel to find he is allergic to the (feather) bedding in his room.

Could someone possibly give me a translation for:

"I have Asthma and am alergic to the feather bedding. Could you change it to none feather bedding please."

-or anything to that affect, or would mean something similar.

Any help as soon as possible would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks.

This isn't my answer, I have to confess I found your sentence had already been turned in by YA. But even with a natives answer I still wonder if のせいで is completely natural here or not...

I think the Japanese in Elizabeth's post is fine. It'll definately be understood by any Japanese person who reads it.

Elizabeth's translation is fine. But I feel it's a little too wordy. How about this?
sumimasen. watashi, umou ni arerugii ga aru node, heya o kaete moraemasenka?

I thought he doesn't have to say he has asthma.

Hope it helps.

Actually, if the friend in question doesn't speak any Japanese, a little bit of extra information to help clarify things could only help, in my humble opinion.

Yes, that is better ! Thank you ! I would also ask for a room change first followed by the explanation. 😌 I agree I don't think he has to say anything about asthma.

Also, I was thinking IF the translation of
I am allergic to feathers and I have a feather allergy than probably either one would work here ??? :?

That was my boy-friend's suggestion....so naturally it is my new favorite as well. :p
