Contrasting objects

ok, i need this for my essay so any help would be great!

i want to write something along the lines of:
"the contrast between obect1 and object2 is ..."

make sense? does this structure translate?

You need to give a bit more context. What do you mean by "object"? Physical, grammatical? Are you going to use the word "object" or replace it with some other noun?

By "contrast" do you just mean "the difference between 1 and 2 is..."?

sorry, i'll clarify.

by object i mean a noun or pronoun. i'm not trying to explain what the difference is between them, rather that the fact that there is a difference (in this case a marked contrast) between the two.
Eg. "the contrast between novel and movie is pronounced."

It seems to be:
X は Y と (adverb) 対照を成す

For the adverb you could use きわだった (conspicuous)

For the verb form, I'm not sure, maybe "nashite imasu" would be the most common polite form?

小説は映画ときわだった対照を成す (the novel constrasts markedly with the movie)
