confusion with itadaku in manga passage

so this is from dragonball, where the speaker meets up with an old lady who has a dragonball, and is now trying to strike up a deal with the old lady.
dou? obaasan. sono tama watashi tachi ni itadaketara...
so i know the speaker is trying to say "how about it obaasan? if you give us that ball..."
but i am bothered by the use of "ni" after watashi tachi. it seems like in this case the verb should be "kureru" or "kudasaru" instead. from what i learned about morau/itadaku, it seems that "watashi tachi ni itadaku" means "we receive from us" since using itadaku already implies that the speaker is receiving something.
Am I analyzing this sentence incorrectly?

に is tricky, it can indicate both the recipient and the giver with いただく. Thus, it's the former case here.

would it mean the same if the speaker instead said "sono tama itadaketara..."?

Yes. もらえたら/くれたら/くださったら are also the same in meaning, i.e. except the level of polliteness.
