Confusing grammar; am I missing something?

Hey everyone!
I recently started reading some manga for the fun of it, but I'm having some problems with the following sentence:

The part in the red box, what exactly does it mean? I'm having a hard time deciphering the meaning of this combination of particles. Perhaps some kind of contraction of a longer sentence?

That's a contraction of これっていうのがないなら.

Excuse me for asking, but could you give me a breakdown of what that means?
I still have a hard time getting any meaning out of the combination.
My best guess would be something along the lines of

If (you) have nothing to say regarding this, why not XXXX

But I'm really unsure of why it would mean that.

It's an idiom, in this case meaning having no special preference (one you could point to over another....これ.....this one, not that one).

Ahh. If it's an idiom, I guess that was I was having such a hard time deciphering it. Thanks alot for your help everyone.
