I'm coming into college as a freshman next month, and I have many options open to me. None of which include the military, just so everyone knows. My current plan is to get an AA degree, and transfer to a four-year university afterwards, although I may go for a Computer Networking/Programming AAS degree. The AAS degree/certificate would be better in the long run seeing how I'll be able to get a job in a somewhat booming industry, that being computers.

I'm so nervous about all of this, lol. My time in high school was pure hell, so this is what I've been waiting for.

How has everyone's experience been with college? Any suggestions/comments?

I wish you the best !! I would say that while you have the chance to learn, please do learn...and about all kinds of things !! If anything seems to be getting in the way of learning, try to get that out of the way in a timely manner.

Always keep in mind that what you may not learn now, while you have the chance to, you might very well regret later--when you don't have the chance to.

Do your best !! MM

Don't waste it !

The G.I. Bill paid my way to college. After 3 years I got bored and quit. No one in my family went to college and they raised me to believe a college degree wasn't needed to succeed. All my life I have felt bad I wasted those college years and did not bother to finish.Make the best of it!

Good Luck faustiniadeals! When I was going to college it was great. I met people from all around the world. It really made up for all the awful times I had during high school.

Just keep your head up and keep going forward and you'll do great!

Good luck!
