I just read an article about the golden/selver Coin in Indonesia,A group leaded by Scotish man started using the Golden/Selver Coin in Indonesia.
The group grown up and many stores,Pharmacies,Grocers approved the coin and it's on the way to Australia & Malaysia & Singapore.
This coin is the same old Islamic coin ( Derham & Dinar ).
Derham = 3.20 US Dollars
Dinar = 153 US Dollars
The good thing is wherever you go and whatever happend in your country the coin won't lose the value.
The bad thing is it will be hard to carry all that Coins !!! ☝
The Coin as they made :

Of course it's very hard to carry a bag of coins :D
But it's more safe than paper currency.

What do you think ?

Both have their pros and cons. Coins are much more hardwearing, but heavier. Paper (actually cotton ;-)) money disintegrates easily but it's easier to carry.

Meh, doesn't really apply to me anyway. I'm like the Queen, I don't carry money 😌

When it comes to the weight/size and value, "plastic money" is the most handy. :p

Violence. On a serious note, I hate coins. Especially the annoying 2p and 1p coins. In fact, 5p too and once my wallet's full of it, anything below 50p. I usually end up using them for buying stuff from vending machines, even though it's overpriced, because I really don't want to hold up the queue in a shop counting coins.

For me coins are both cool and a nightmare, I mean I really do like coins, the feel, the cool carvings, the different shaps etc, but carrying them is abit of a hassle when theres a bunch of them, especially since my wallet has no specific coin section I have to use what would normally be for cards and its kind of destroying my wallet slowly :unsure:

Oh for those in the UK do you guys remember those giant ツ≫?? coins? There might have been a ツ≫??0 one but I'm not sure, but those were awesome! Heavy as hell but so cool. My step-dad had a bunch of them when I was younger and I ended up stealing them and buying Burger King crap with them, those coins would proberly be worth quite a bit now :sorry:

LOL, you sound like my husband. I have a charity box by the front door at home, and on the rare occasions that I spend money I drop all the shrapnel in there 👍

My husband kept one of those, plus all the commemorative coins that come out, usually ツ≫?? or 50p. There must be a few quid there, even if they're only worth face value. Enough for a takeaway anyway :D

Coins or notes, both are fine for me. But just as Derfel just said; 1ct and 2ct are very annoying!

(I do like the Japanese 5 yen coins, though! )

I had trouble in Yemen since they use coins more than in Saudi Arabia,the sound of the coins in my pocket is a problem,i remember when my friend said "Where you begging charity at the mosque ?" :giggle:
I use them for Taxi everyday.
