I remember reading in the financial section some while back that Virgin Atlantic where planning to buy another carrier (malaysian I think) to be able to offer ridiculously cheap (£45 was quated as a starting point) to the far east.
Obviously this is very exciting news, but Ive heard nothing since. Anyone else hear this or no more??

Not really heard it and won't believe it's true. I will be going to Japan next year have have look at every single airline that goes to Japan ! They certainly wasn't cheap.

Apropos, Virgin was one of the most expensive. British Airways, Lufthansa or Air France seem to be the cheapest to Japan at least.

i go thru Jtbusa.com tickets to japan from 400 to 800 dollars for Students

its a new york based Travel agency that specializes in trips from Us to Japan

mmm guess it doesnt help you much cuz your in London and Germany

=( Gomen

Air France are cheap as chips but jesus christ they couldnt organise a p**s up in a brewery. They left our cases is Paris CDG and then delayed us on the way back. Also the cabin crew were about as much use as a chocolate fire guard.

Yet in the end they got me there and back with my luggage in one piece.
