Hi.
I'm going to Japan tomorrow - yes, I'm very extremely happy, but also pretty stressed out right now. *packing* Going to Tokyo.. :-)

Anyways; is there anyway I could buy a cheap cell phone in Japan - it this an easy thing to do? Since I wont have a phone that will be working, I'd be happy to have a cell phone. Where could I get one, that's not overly expensive but still works? Is there a place where they sell already used phones for a lower price or something? What would be the usual cost for this in that case? I'll buy phone cards (<are they called that?) too - are they expensive? Are they OK to use, I mean - does it work all the time and are there a lot of places where I could call with the phone card?

and also: Using my VISA - can I do that? And could I take out money with my VISA in local banks in Tokyo? The same with taking out money at the automat (sorry I don't know what those automats are called in english - you know the sort where you put in your card and out comes money :? 😊 ) I basically wondering if the VISA card is good to use...

Thanks for help (if I get any)

:-)

You can easily pick up a prepaid cell phone at practically any convenience store. They're not cheap, though.
